We’ve carefully reviewed each LLSA selection in detail, extracted the key points, and have developed an easy reading summary outline. By simply reviewing the EM:Prep Notes you’ll be reminded of the major points of every article as you prepare for your ABEM, internet based LLSA exams.

Up to 35 hours of ACEP/AMA CME credit at no extra charge

The ABEM website provides the LLSA required articles for each year from 2009 through 2012 (also available on the ACEP website).

In recognition of the educational efforts you will have made, you’ll be able to receive up to 35 (depending on the year) ACEP/AMA Category I CME credit at no additional charge. Simply complete the EM:Prep quiz that accompanies each EM:Prep issue and, upon receiving a 70% score or better, you’ll be sent your CME certificate by mail. Colleagues sharing a subscription can earn the CME credits for a fee of only $50.

Please note that obtaining the maximum number of credits assumes that the participant has read all of the LLSA articles for any given year. The actual number of CME hours a participant should claim is directly contingent upon the actual hours invested in these education programs.

4 to 7 hours of quality audio or video

The Video Series provides a 4-6 hour (depending upon the year) video summary of the articles presented in an upbeat "tag-team" fashion by Drs. Diane Birnbaumer and Billy Mallon in which they capsulize the key points of the papers focusing on the testable components of the articles and, in addition, they'll add their unique clinical and editorial perspectives.

The Audio Series provides 4-7 hours (depending upon the year) of quality audio recordings in which each article is summarized and, in the process, commented upon to emphasize the key points of the articles.
